I was amazed to receive an email from the World Photography Organisation to announce that I had been commended in the top 50 images out of 140 000 entries for my image “Tree of Knowledge”
Especially as it is the first competition I have ever entered…

The mist was so thick on Saturday morning that you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face, so naturally I jumped in the car with my Hubby and son in the freezing cold and rushed off to the Helderberg Nature reserve to snap some shots before the mist all disappeared. By the time we got there I had to be very quick as the mist was lifting and I would never have been able to capture the image I had in my head.
Here are some images taken on the way to and from the forest location.
But First take a look at my final image…
Here is my Final image… I think it turned out well… exactly how it was in my head.

My Family and I had such a nice time at Kamers vol Geskenke this year. The sun was shining in Somerset West and is was a stunning day at Lourensford Wine Estate, the food was plenty and the exhibition amazing. There were so many beautiful and interesting things that it was hard to choose which ones to take photos of. Here are just a few that I love…

I really enjoyed this shoot! We had great Models, an awesome studio to shoot in and loads of fun was had by everyone involved.

Magicians/ventriloquists and comedians – Erinvale Wine Estate {Fern Evans Photography}
An amazing evening full of fun, laughter and surprises! I had the privilege of photographing a wonderful Birthday Celebration on Saturday at Erinvale Golf Estate in Somerset West. Everyone involved pulled out all the stops to create a flawless event with wonderful food, great entertainment and loads of laughter. Well Done Amanda O’Connell for doing such a great job!
Here are a few images of the evening. The very talented Magicians Stuart Lightbody and Russell Fox amazed guests in between meals and stage performances. Conrad Koch and Nik Rabinowitz entertained on stage. The wonderful music by Shiraz filled the room and certainly got feet tapping and guests dancing. Chef Michael Broughton and his team outdid themselves with the wonderful meal.

We had an awesome time shooting the last issue of Yes! Lifestyle Magazine at Black Dog Studios in Observatory.
Black Dog Studios owner Sally Mellish is such a wonderful Lady who had a very touching story to tell of her studio burning down and having to start from scratch in a new venue, and with the enormous support from fellow Photographers in Cape Town now has a brand new studio…. What I do when I’m bored
I had absolutely nothing to do today, so I decided to play in photoshop. Anyone will tell you that I’m not the best photoshopper out there and have loads I still want to learn, but it’s fun playing and experimenting.

Pearl Bikes
I’ve had such a busy, but fabulous week! Monday started off with a product shoot… Bikes! Check out these awesome Bikes! Don’t you just love the logo… I don’t often do product shoots, but this one was really great. These pics are just a few from Day 1… Day 2 photos will be posted in the next couple of weeks. I’m really excited about that one. Lots of colour… right up my alley.
